That doesn't change the fact that I didn't turn my back on them. And I was only in combat with 2! When they were turned, El backed away, and Cable stepped up. What, two more zombies just teleported to the front of the group the instant the first two were turned? It should have taken at least a couple of segments for the turned zombies to flee through their buddies, and two new zombies to step up. That should have been plenty of time for El and Cable to switch places, since El was coordinating with Mil: Small Unit Tactics.

I do not allow for fighting withdrawal unless someone else is engaging the targets as well at the same time. Which they weren't. and on top of that you are backing away from a doorway where you are the only target.

GMG Page 92
Withdrawing: When making a withdrawal, a character carefully backs away from his opponent (who can choose to follow immediately, even if his movement has been expended, but may not advance faster than normal movement). The backing character moves at up to 1/3 his normal movement rate.
If two characters are fighting a single opponent and one of them decides to withdraw, the remaining character can block the advance of the opponent.
So in order to save myself the difficulty of plotting your characters out on a map so I could track how many zombies flooded into the room after you backed away I just had them hit you. If you would like I can retcon their hits and just have every single zombie in the room begin to advance out of the room thereby allowing all of them to get attacks on everyone then fine by me.

Wow, that's great. I wish I had known that, I guess my character is dead, as he has two hit points left. I would have tried to escape while I still had a chance. Oh well.

So, of the 9 remaining zombies, only 2 are turned?

I am assuming Cable and El are stepping back out of the doorway so all three of us can attack as they come through the door.

Would you guys like to move this to a weekly or bi weekly aim chat game? It's probably the only way we/I will get anything done. If not I am probably going to have to officially declare the game dead due to time constraints and lack of dedication on my part.

I only have time to post randomly. I really can't squeeze something else in my schedule (especially since I'm 6 hours ahead of you guys and you'll probably be doing this at night).

I could probably find time, depending on what night we did. But if Luke can't play, and it looks like our characters are about to die anyway... I dunno.

I say either we are all in or all out. If Luke can't play, we should just call the game dead.

In case anyone cares....Here was my character background....
Bio: Growing up the last born child of the Thazar family was interesting for Drul and his older brothers Bal and Robert. Drul was the smallest and weakest of his family. His older brothers set the example by joining the Empire of the Faith’s clergy and militant arm. Robert meant well, but Bal was especially delighted in his roll as a “paladin” of the One gawd. He enjoyed nothing more than putting heretics to the sword – his greatsword to be exact.
Drul was pressed into service of the One gawd early on as well, but a defining moment in his life occurred around his 18th birthday. Accompanying his brother Bal, he watched in honor as Bal put to death one of Drul’s childhood friend’s families. Drul knew they had done nothing wrong. In private that night he prayed to any gawd that would listen that he would follow them as long as he could punish his evil brother and the lies of the Empire Church. Relivik answered.
Drul has since then posed as a cleric of the One gawd and become decent at lying when necessary. He spent most of his training running a soup kitchen in a backwater village, quietly spreading the word of other gawds (especially Relivik’s message) besides the One gawd.
He has since met *Battlemage* and latched on to him (clingy) as a newfound brother. A powerful mage is the doorway to toppling the church.
