I'll start. The following item is not a game breaker, or even a highly useful gadget. Instead, it's primary purpose is to provide a little "flavor" to your adventuring campaigns. ;D
Item: The Tasteful Tumblers of Tar'Nos Broadbranch
EP Value: * See below
GP Value: * See below
These normal looking drinking containers are quite the find for adventurers with discriminating pallets. Any liquid placed in this container will take on a new, predetermined taste. These containers vary in style to match the intended flavor. To retain the taste, the liquid must be consumed from the container, so pouring water into a Tasteful Tumbler that creates the flavor of iced tea and then pouring into a normal glass will yield water in the normal glass. The liquid retains their original properties, other than taste, unless specified differently below. For example, a poison that normally tastes bitter will taste like a glass of grape juice in the proper container, but still hurt the drinker.
Usually, a set or partial set of one type of tumbler is found. To determine the number of tumblers found, Roll 1d4. To determine the type and flavor of a given tumbler Roll 1D8:
1. Wooden tumbler. Creates the taste of grape juice. EPV = 25, GPV = 50.
2. Shot Glass. Creates the taste of Dwarven Sippin’ Whiskey. EPV = 25, GPV = 100.
3. Delicate long-stemmed glass. Creates the taste of a fine elvish wine. EPV = 25, GPV = 200.
4. Pewter Beer Stein. Creates the taste of Kromean Ale. This container also chills the liquid to 40F in 1 round. EPV = 50, GPV = 250.
5. Ceramic mug. Creates the taste of hot chocolate with marshmallows. This container also heats the liquid to 150 F in 1 round. EPV = 50, GPV = 100.
6. Pixie Fairy Sized drinking glass. Creates the flavor of a fruity beverage that the Fae folks call a Fuzzy Navel. EPV = 25, GPV=100.
7. Normal Drinking Glass. Creates the taste of water. EPV= 25, GPV = 50.
8. Mismatched set. Roll separately for each tumbler, ignoring this result.
Tar’Nos Broadbranch was a powerful Elven mage whose desire for power was only matched by his desire for fine foods. By making use of the Flavor, Chill, and Warm cantrips, he was able to create one of the most successful lines of drinking glasses ever made. Sold throughout Garweeze Wurld, his tumblers and other kitchen oddities created quite a stir among the restaurant guilds. For a while, his Tumblers were so popular that many people saw little reason to learn to cook or even to go out for a fine dinner. His demise was rumored to have been arranged by disgruntled tavern owners.
