Characters are due by Monday. You can roll up your own at home and email me the information. Also keep in mind my house rules.

Write some backstory for you character while keeping the info provided in the primer in mind.

Start comming up with group names. I would like to try and get this settled by Monday so I can request an open forum for the group from Joe and get hma registration taken care of.

Alright I'm going to set down some rules and guidelines.

Posting In-Game
When your character speaks you should use a specific color for him/her/it/them/toaster ovens. Please pick a color differing from another player.

For instance: Gromthag says, "I'm gonna ride 'em"

When you preform an action please preface and postface it with a *. do not color this text

For instance: *Gromthag proceeds to 'ride 'em'*

If you want to think to yourself put it in italics. you will use this if you want to see if maybe you know something and need the gm to fill you in.

For instance: Gromthag wonders how the cheese smells

Thoughts are kind of passe though when you can just ask me Dr. Inner Monologue.

If you wish to say something out of character please pre and postface it with brackets [] like so: [Wait is that actually cheese?]

So in the end you will have posts that look something like this

"I'm gonna ride 'em". *Gromthag Proceeds to jump onto the back of the crippled Dwarf and rides him around the room*. Gee this is just like that one time back in Fishton, Gromthag thinks to himself. [man I gotta wee].

These are just suggestions. You can mess around with it until you find a format to your liking. I don't really care about the particulars too much just that it's consistant.

Another example would be just doing something like this:
Gromthag surveys the room eyes squinted and butt clenched. "Where is the bathroom!", he shouts, the desperation clear in his voice.

Absences and Wait Times
If you are going to be unable to post for an extended amount of time you can request one of the other players take care of your characters actions or you can ask me to. I will do my best to keep you from getting screwed. If more than 2 days goes by without a response from you I will take over your characters actions myself until your untimely return. You may also choose to withdraw your character until a later time but don't expect to be able to leave in the middle of a dungeon or to come back when everyone else is in the middle of a dungeon. I or another player will deposit your character wherever when the dungeoning or whatever is complete.

Etiquette
Do not mess with my NPCs. And by that I mean don't try to assume their reactions or actions in your posts. This also applies to other players characters. If you mess with my NPCs I will edit your post and mess with you.

For instance, do not do this: *Gromthag grabs the barwench and makes passionate consenting love to her while the barkeep offers him free beer and declares him hero of the land.*

I reserve the use of Blue text for GMy things. Like if I post mechanics or other ooc stuff. So please do not use blue text.

I'm going to be going through a job transition in 2 weeks. I may not be able to post as frequently during the day during and probably more so after I start at my new job. I will be doing updates at home though.
