So here's my duded after the brown dip. I still have to go through and do the highlights but it takes around 24 hours for this crap to dry.

It's taking me a while to relearn my brush control though. Even after 6 figures I'm still kind of rusty. It doesn't help that I'm thinning my paints more than I used to either.

The picture is a little dark, but I like it. Going for a "dirty marine" look?
Did you want it that shiny? Are you going to hit it with a matte finish?
I like the metal plating bases.

Just read your aug 12th post. I think you picked the right choice. I'm not sure how the blue ink on that armor would have looked, but I'm betting it would have been pastel marines from the planet easter.

Ah.
Would that go with the purple?
Do one! Maybe the sergeants or something.

Yeah I'll probably give it a shot. It won't match the rest of the army though. It's also a bitch to do. White layers are chalky so you can't layer it as neatly as other more transparent colors.

Yeah, I do white on my shoulder pads. You have to take your time.
One trick for a large, curved area is to put a drop of elmer's glue (white glue) with 1 part water and 5 parts white paint. I've done that to patch up "used" minis I've bought on eBay.

Also just to spite your templars I have adopted a latin phrase for my army that will be displayed on at least one banner. 'Petra Tui Facies'
I will probably acumulate more ridiculous and vulgar ones as time goes on.

Painting Tanks when you have a multicolor paint scheme is a pain in the ass. Now I understand why most Space Marines are monochromatic.

I like the seargent figure from blackreach but I didn't care much for his weapon configuration so I did a little modding. Before (not mine just using for ref) After I see by google searching there are a few more people who have done similar things but they are fairly lame and if there's anything Brad has taught me it's you can never have enough powerfists. Also also, Joe, want a Leman Russ?
