I could probably squeeze 30 terminators and 3 dreadnoughts into a 1500-2000 point list...

I'm assuming that the basic marines cost the same as the Black Templars. I don't have your new codex, yet. 2000 could work. 1500 is right out. 30 terminators = 1200 (with no upgrades) 3 dreadnoughts = 315 (with no upgrades) Total = 1515, and you still have to field 2 troops and an HQ. Still, a formidable force. However, Terminators and Dreadnoughts are both Elites, except for terminator HQ's. Except for appocolypse battles, that wouldn't be a legal squad. But, you were just being silly. Nevermind. ;D

Upon Arriving at Midnight yesterday John had dug out some old space wolves stuff someone had traded in years ago. No idea where he found it but I nabbed it off of him before someone else could. Got a landraider, dread, 2 rhinos, a leman russ I will use as a predator, a whirlwind and some chaplain blisters.
So now my force stands at: 60 (maybe more I'm not sure) Space Marines (8 devastators, 5 assault, 4 veterans) 3 chaplains which will probably be used to assemble one uber chaplain 22 Terminators 3 Razorbacks 2 Rhinos 1 Whirlwind 2 Predators 2 Landraiders 1 Drop Pod 5 Dreadnoughts
As you can see I am addicted to Dreadnoughts.
I could probably field an apocalypse company now.

THe old space wolves metal dreadnought is a really nice model. I almost feel bad that I'm going to cut all the space wolf stuff of it. Not those little rabbits feet things though, those things are just retarded, much like enormous top knots on chaos space marines, which also get mercilessly removed.
'omg why u cut off abaddons haer!@?!?!?'

I've hit another speed bump. I had my assembly line painting up and running for my spess mehrins when I ran into the issue of what the hell ink color am I going to use for lining/dipping. whatever the fuck. My Options are Black, Brown, and blue. My marines are primarily white with purple accents and black details (joints guns etc.) in most cases.
I have seen blue shading with white look really awesome but it requires priming gray and highlighting up from a base of greyish blue. Too much work for a force already primed white. So the next best thing is a wash of blue ink. I have had terrible luck with blue ink in the past though and no matter how I do the mixture I always end up with drying lines and uglyness.
Black Ink is the forefunner currently I already have one test model done in it and It looks good. I have the option of using ink or dipping in wood stain. The wood stain is kind of thin though and has the tendency to gather in retarded places despite care taken to avoid this. If I do ink it's going to be a by hand process that will take excrutiating amounts of time until I figure out a reliable process.
Then I have brown. I have had terrible luck with brown ink the same as blue with the drying lines and such. I also have some polyurethane wood stain which is the proper dipping medium that creates a very nice effect, but goes on really heavy. the solution to this is to mix in some solvent, but then I run the risk of fucking up the paint so I haven't tried the solvent mixture yet. If I go this route I may just have to deal with the heavy look and try to compensate as best I can which is not at all.
Stupid inks breakin my stride. If the choice does not become obvious once I ruin 5 or so paintjobs for test figures I will probably post some images for opinions.

I've narrowed it down to black inking by hand or brown dipping. the brown dipping looks filthy dirty awesome so I may go with that even though it goes against my original idea of clean white.
