After I finish with my bikes I'll probably look at getting set up to run a deathwing force cause I love me some terminators. Also I'm thinking I'm going to have base and paint my space hulk terminators for this army...

I've only gotten to play with my GK termies once since I got them (the other time they were lost to the warp after apparently drinking too much the night before). But the time they showed up they layed the smack down on John's Tau battlesuits. I was on fire for saves, though, they shouldn't have lasted so long. Still, gotta love the terminators.

So this Sunday Brad's Black Templar presented me with another defeat, but it was a close one despite the fact I am tactically retarded.
At 2250 points I brought 2 full bike squads with a captain so they counted as troops 3 tac squads in rhinos 1 ven autocannon dread 1 reg autocannon dread an ironclad in a drop pod, a landspeeder and 3 predators. Brad had more shooty than I had previously encountered against him and the allstar in his list was most definitely the Landraider Crusader.
I held my bikes back first turn and then when I did decide to go after the LR with them They where quickly swamped by assaulting squads and wiped out. I swore to kill brads dreads then and wiped both of them out with a stellar barrage of concentrated fire.
The Ironclad despite being immobilized on the first turn managed to stymy Brads dev squad.
I quickly claimed 3 objectives and we would have drawn had the game ended on turn 5 BUT THE DICE SPOKETH and it went to 7 and on the 7th turn Brad was able to wipe 2 tac squads off the center objective with his landraider and terminators giving him the win.
Had we managed to draw he still would have won a spiritual victory with kill points alone.
I had deviated from my normal lascannon spam in favor of meltas an autocannons because all the neckbeards spam melta cause it's cheaper. Melta does not fit my playstyle at all though so I think I may have to keep paying overcosted lascannon prices just so I can reach out and touch people from across the board. Autocannons are pretty rad though.

My rhinos were in awe of your twin auto-cannon dreads. Especially since the Black Templars don't get any auto cannons on their dreads. I'll have to stick with auto cannon dakka dreads.
It was pretty much tied until turn 7. While they won the game at the end, the Land Raider/Terminator combo killed barely half of their point cost, and didn't see any combat until turn 5 or 6.
Moving your bikes that close to my rhinos was costly, but I should have moved away from your iron clad dread much sooner and claimed the other objective before turn 5.

I'm tempted to paint a big frowny face on my ironclad.

Due to Dude's abbreviating, I keep picturing rastafarians with twin auto cannons hanging from their metallic dreadlocks. I know what he's talking about, but I can't keep this mental picture out of my head.

I've been whipping up on Mat recently we have played like 4 games and I have 2 wins and 2 draws. I am liking this dual landraider list a lot. Makes me want to pimp out my assault terminators some more with conversions.

Those new winged blood angels assault marines are badass for conversion bits. I need me some of them. especially since my chapter iconography will heavily feature wings probably.

I broke down and got the 2 winges metal special characters so I can chop them up for bits. They didn't have the plastics box )=. It's apparently sold out for a bit.
